Monday==Gym was fun today. In Religion, we talked about the ways the Holy Spirit gives us strength. In Math, we started talking about addition. In Reading, we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and listed all the things he ate and on what day.
Tuesday--We went to Italian today. In Religion, we learned the sign for Holy Spirit and thanked the Holy Spirit for helping us make good choices. In Math, we practiced adding one. In Phonics, we practiced reading and writing words with silent e at the end.
Wednesday--All library books are due today. If you forgot to send it in, please do so as soon as possible. They need to do inventory. Thank you Mrs. Brauckmann for reading to us every week. You are the best. Thanks also for the pretzels last week. Everyone enjoyed them. In Religion, we talked about how the Holy Spirit helps us to stay on the path to Jesus. In Math, we practiced adding with two and three. Music was fun today.
Thursday--In Religion, we talked about Mary our Mother and compared her to our own mothers. In Math, we practiced adding two numbers. In Reading, we read a story about spring and talked about all the things we see in spring.
Friday--Mother's Day Tea-8:30AM--Class Trip to Linvilla Orchard--9:15. There is a reminder letter enclosed.
I know it is close to the end of the year, but many of the children are in need of glue. Please ask your child if they are one of them. Also we have been asked by the office, if all kindergarteners can bring a pair of underwear to keep in their cubbies in the classroom. There have been many accidents lately. Due to the nice weather, they are interested in playing until the very last minute. Please know they have many opportunities during the day to visit the bathroom. I am sending home their Writing Folders. Please view their work and send it back tomorrow. I know they would enjoy reading one of their stories to you before they are returned to school. Please talk to your child about their behavior at school. Many of them are not listening to directions and talking at the wrong time. This happens every year when the nice weather comes.We still have another month of learning. Thank you for all you do. I am looking forward to seeing all of you on Friday. I wish all the moms a very Happy Mother's Day.
